India Boat Capsize: 2 students killed, 6 missing
[]
A ferry boat carrying schoolchildren has sunk in the Arabian Sea of western Indian, killing two students and leaving six missing.
Local media quoted the police saying 32 children were rescued, and coast guards were carrying out search operations using a plane, helicopters and ships. Boats are often the main mode of transport in India's remote areas. But such accidents are common. Many ferry boats are poorly built and often overcrowded, with little regard for safety regulations, such as the provision of life jackets.
