Protests had begun earlier in the week against the legislation‍ and despite the fact the government announced that it would withdraw the legislation on Sunday, people still demonstrated for a sixth day. The demonstrators seemed to broaden out their anger against the government in general as opposed to just the anti-graft legislation.
