California Mudslides: Residents under orders to clear out for up to two weeks
[]
Residents of a mudslide-ravaged California town are now under orders to leave for up to two weeks. Even those who didn't lose their homes were told to clear out to not interfere with the rescue and recovery operation. More than 12-hundred workers are taking part in the search and cleanup effort in Montecito after the disaster left at least 18 people dead. Satellite imagery showed pictures of the town before and after mudslides struck the area. It has been left covered with thick muck and splintered lumber in a scene that a local sheriff likened to a World War One battlefield.
