Russian sports officials have criticised the decision of the International Olympic Committee not to invite 15 Russians to the Pyeongchang Winter Games.
This comes just days after the athletes' doping bans were overturned by the Swiss-based Court of Arbitration for Sport. Russian Sports Minister Pavel Kolobkov said the IOC's decision not to invite athletes was "a little weird", and suggested that it seemed to violate the organisation's own rules. Elena Vyalbe, head of the Russian Cross-Country Skiing Federation, said Russia is ready to continue fighting for its honour.
The IOC said unpublished new evidence gave rise to new doping suspicions about the 15 Russians. The Kremlin argued that the decision meant the 15 should be treated as clean.
