Adorable owl cubs rescued in C China

Monday morning, four cute owl cubs were sent to Zhengzhou wildlife rescue station by one citizen in Zhengzhou, central China’s Henan Province. /CFP Photo

After being seen by wildlife rescue station staff, these four owl cub were identified as Eurasian eagle owls, a nationally protected animal. /CFP Photo

"We could have lost them in illegal trafficking, because the eagle owls are nocturnal birds of prey, it's afraid of the light. That is why the traffickers put them in black plastic meshes which keeps them quiet during the day." Zhengzhou wildlife rescue station officer Dong Chaowei said. /CFP Photo
