Japan Fire: 11 killed at residency for elderly in Sapporo
[]
A fire in a seniors' home killed eleven people in northern Japan. The center catered to elderly people with financial troubles - and is usually left unstaffed overnight. The blaze broke out before midnight Thursday. Rescuers were able to save the five other residents. Authorities are still confirming the victims' identities. The residence was originally built 50 years ago as an inn.
