Greek Cypriots were back at the polls on Sunday for run-off presidential election. The two candidates encouraged people to go out and vote after a lower than usual turnout in the first round last week. Incumbent President Nicos Anastasiades has pledged to re-energize talks to end the division of the island. His opponent, the leftist Stavros Malas, has accused him of squandering chances of a deal. Anastasiades won 35 percent of the vote compared with 30 percent for Malas in the first round on January 28.
