Southern Yemeni separatists have captured the port city of Aden after two days of fighting, confining the internationally recognised government of President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi to the presidential palace. Residents say forces loyal to the Southern Transitional Council, backed by the United Arab Emirates, seized the last stronghold of Hadi's Presidential Protection Forces in northern Aden. The International Committee of the Red Cross says at least 36 were killed and 185 were wounded. The United Nations is calling on all parties in Yemen to abide by international humanitarian laws to protect civilians.
