Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge: World's longest sea-based bridge to facilitate Greater Bay Area
[]
The construction of China's Greater Bay Area is designed to enhance regional cooperation and integration among the major cities of the Pearl River Delta. And the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge is meant to facilitate that.
Residents in Hong Kong can look forward to a journey time of just 30 minutes to Zhuhai and Macao, a drastic cut from three hours. Railway services are also improving. The Guangzhou Shenzhen Hong Kong High Speed Railway will also reduce travel time significantly.
Passengers from Hong Kong will take only 48 minutes to reach Guangzhou, compared to the previous 2-hour journey. And those travelling between Hong Kong and Shenzhen have it even better, spending only just 15 minutes.
