2018 Tour De Ski China: Swedes Persson, lockner claim men's & women's races

Off to the slopes of Changbai mountain in Jilin Province, for the China Tour De Ski. The first day of the New Year would see 70 skiers competing in the 1.5 kilometers free style cross country race.
The event is part of the FIS cross-country tour, and this stage, is a tour on its own, with racers earning points within this Chinese sub-station. At least three stages have been held annually in China since 2008. Sweden's Simon Persson claimed his first stage win. Chinese sprint veteran Wang Qiang was fourth. Jacqueline Lockner would claim the women's title, China would have six skiers in the division make it to the quarter finals. The 2018 tour, will hold five stages in three different regions in China, with the next stage set for Changchun Deer Valley. As for this stage, the men's winner was happy with his performance.
