Siberian tigers are one of the world's most endangered species. The WWF estimates the number living in the wild at just 540. They predominantly live in northeast China and east Russia.
China’s Jilin Province is known as the “hometown of Siberian tigers”, and according to researchers at Beijing Normal University, 27 of these tigers were spotted in the region between 2012 and 2014.

Lang Jianmin is director of the scientific research and publicity center at the reserve.
