French presidential candidate Emmanuel Macron has visited the Holocaust Memorial in Paris on Sunday, delivering a somber message: "Never Again." This comes amid growing worries over rising nationalism in Europe.
During his visit, Macron looked at documentation showing the collaboration by French authorities with the Nazis, laid flowers in the crypt and signed the guest book. At the memorial of martyrs, he said he would concede nothing to Le Pen, who accused him of exploiting the Holocaust for electoral purposes.
Macron has visited two sites tied to France's wartime history in three days. Macron and Le Pen will battle for the presidency in the May 7 runoff vote.
