A reported suspicious package in Manchester, investigated by a UK bomb disposal unit, has been deemed safe, said Greater Manchester Police on Twitter, adding that a cordon had been removed.
"There was a cordon in Hulme, not Trafford as previously suggested, relating to a possible suspicious package," Greater Manchester Police said in a statement.

Earlier, the police said there was an incident on Linby Street in Hulme and a bomb disposal team had been sent to the site.
Meanwhile, British Prime Minister Theresa May announced the terror threat level will remain at critical after a blast killed 22 people and injured 116 others on Monday in Manchester.
A minute's silent was held at 10:00 GMT in the country to remember those killed in the terror attack.
