2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics: DPRK IOC Member Chang Ung visits Olympics HQ

One day after the DPRK agreed to send a large delegation to next month's Pyeongchang Winter Olympics, the country's International Olympic Committee member Chang Ung visited the IOC headquarters in Lausanne, Switzerland.
Chang spent four hours at the IOC building and chose not to speak to reporters when he left. The IOC said the meeting at its headquarters would take a series of "essential decisions" on DPRK's participation at the Games. These decisions would include the number and names of athletes from the DPRK's Olympic Committee, as well as questions related to official protocol such as flags, ceremonies and uniform. IOC President Thomas Bach hosted the talks, which also included delegations from the national Olympic committees of both the DPRK and South Korea. The DPRK's agreement with its neighbor to send a delegation to Pyeongchang signals the first time in over two years that the country has held talks with South Korea.
