The friendship between China, Cambodia and Thailand dates back to the ancient maritime Silk Road trade route. In the present day, cooperation between these nations has expanded to include areas such as tourism, railways, industrial parks and the renovation of historical architecture.
Cooperation between China and Cambodia includes repair work of Angkor Wat, and the construction of Sihanouk Special Economic Zone. Key cooperation projects between China and Thailand include Laem Chabang Port, Thai-Chinese Rayong Industrial Zone and Bang Sue Railway Station.
