Photography Special: Any difference between China's fake Paris and real Paris?
[]
A new series of images called Paris Syndrome has gone viral on Chinese social media.
The series places iconic scenes from the French capital side by side with similar buildings in China. The city of Tianducheng--also known as Sky City--is a luxury real estate development built 10 years ago. It has a fake Eiffel Tower, 11 square miles of Parisian-style buildings, and an expensive park modelled after Versailles. The Paris-based photographer François Prost spent a week in the Sky City taking pictures of the architecture and tourists. He then returned to Paris and spent months recreating the same scenes in France.
