At the second China-ASEAN Justice Forum held on June 8 in Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China’s top court president Zhou Qiang said the crimes of drug trafficking, smuggling and telecommunication fraud have brought huge threat to regional development and social stability.
Strengthening cooperation in cross-border policing and properly handling disputes are the common and urgent topics for China, ASEAN and South Asian countries.

Veerapol Tungsuwan, president of the Thailand Supreme Court said: This is the problem that we are having. Our constitutions taught the judges in our two countries, but we will have exchanges of judges and staff between our two countries to learn from your experience, to share and exchange our knowledge.

With the implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative, judges from these related countries have also vowed to strengthen judicial exchanges and judges training. They believe these communications will help judges better handle disputes, crack down crimes and boost trade in the region.
