China's trade machine kicked up a gear in January after stumbling the previous month. Official data shows trade volume rose 16 percent year-on-year in January to two-point-five trillion yuan. Exports increased 6 percent while imports surged 30 percent. The European Union, the United States and ASEAN are China's top three trading partners. Trade with countries along the Belt and Road rose over 17 percent year on year. It's also one-point-six percentage points higher than the general trade growth.
