In Iran, pro-government demonstrations continue across several towns. They are in response to the week-long anti-government protests which took place in a number of cities and towns late last month. At least 21 people were killed in scattered protests which were triggered by price hikes and a high unemployment rate. Government supporters have held several mass rallies across the country to oppose the unrest, and officials have blamed the anti-government clashes on foreign meddling.
