UN secretary-general says Belt & Road Initiative will help tackle global issues

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has expressed high hopes for the Belt and Road Initiative. In an interview with Chinese media at the UN headquarters in New York, Guterres said multilateralism is key to solving global issues such as climate change and population growth, and the Belt and Road Initiative will provide an important platform for international cooperation.
The Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation will be held in Beijing on May 14 and 15, and high-ranking officials from over 100 countries and international organizations will be attending the event.
