Stunning views of ice-covered mountains are drawing tourists to enjoy scenes only nature can create.

Recent snow has covered the city of Zhangjiajie in Hunan Province and the Qinling Mountains in Shanxi. Tree branches are covered in a layer of ice known as rime, leading to breathtaking scenes at Tianmen Mountain and the Zhangjiajie Scenic Area. The best time to see the frost is from late November to early March. Aerial images show the stunning winter landscapes at the Qinling Mountains. Snow continues to accumulate, painting the mountain range white for the entire season.
