The exhibition was organized by the Hubei Provincial Center for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage and the China-Poland Economic and Culture Association.

Located in central China, the area today called Hubei was called "Chu" in ancient China, as the region was part of the powerful State of Chu during the Zhou dynasty (1046 BC-256 BC).
