31st ASEAN Summit: Meetings to take place from Nov. 10-14

The 31st Association of Southeast Asian Nations Summit is set to be held in Manila from November 10th to 14th. The Philippines is the chair country of ASEAN 2017, which coincides with the regional bloc's 50th anniversary. This year's theme is Partnering for Change Engaging the World.
Two related meetings concerning regional economic issues and political security will be held this morning. The event provides Southeast Asian leaders a venue to meet on common issues of interest, including jobs, education, as well as climate change. It is also a time for members to sign important agreements on further cooperation.
