Apple's newest flagship device, the iPhone X, is officially in stores.

Hundreds in the Chinese capital lined up early on Friday to get their pre-ordered smart phones. The iPhone X, stocked on the official Apple online store on e-commerce site T-Mall, was sold out within five seconds. China Merchants Bank said iPhone purchases using the company's credit cards reached 2 billion yuan within the first two and a half hours of the first day that customers could make pre-orders. California-based Apple earlier this week said its revenues rose by more than a tenth from July to September, the last quarter of the firm's fiscal year. Revenues from the Chinese market rose to 9-point-8 billion dollars from 8 billion last year, driven largely by rising iPhone sales.
