Argentina Flooding: Thousands evacuated as river rises in northwest

As we said, parts of Argentina have also been hit by heavy rain and intense flooding. Some 10,000 people were evacuated from villages along the Pilcomayo River in the northwest. Local authorities carried out a massive operation, shuttling the residents to shelters. Officials said the river has risen six metres and is expected to continue rising over the next four days.
