‘Road to Prosperity’ episode 11: Mombasa-Nairobi SGR: The Change of Voi 

 The population of Voi is around 50,000, making it the largest town and commercial and agricultural center in Taita-Taveta County. Its development is closely linked to the railway. The Mombasa-Nairobi Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) has not only brought jobs to the people there, but it is set to bring goods from the port to countries in Africa at a lower logistic cost. Voi is thriving thanks to the SGR, and it is a microcosm of the benefits the railway has brought to Kenya.
