The DPRK and South Korea will form a joint Women's Ice Hockey Team at the upcoming games.
The two countries also agreed to use the traditional Korean folk song Arirang, at the awards ceremony if the joint team wins a gold medal. The song was also played when delegations of the two countries, marched together at the opening ceremony of the 2000 Sydney Olympics. The International Olympics Committee has announced on Saturday, that although the DPRK missed the deadline for accepting an Olympic invitation, its 22 athletes will be allowed to join as wild-card entries.
