Syria's main opposition group has said it would boycott Russian peace talks scheduled for next week.
The Syria Negotiation Commission accused its government of a lack of honesty in negotiations. The announcement came two days after UN-backed peace talks ended in Vienna. The Russian peace talks are scheduled to take place in the city of Sochi. Dozens of rebel groups have already refused to join the talks in Sochi next Monday and Tuesday. UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres will send his Syria peace negotiator to the talks. The Syrian war has stretched into its seventh year, and has killed hundreds of thousands of people.
