Egyptian wing maestro Mohamed Salah has been unveiled by English giants Liverpool after completing a 34-million-pound switch from Italian side AS Roma.

Salah has signed a five-year deal with The Reds, sealing a return to England after a failed stint at Chelsea.

The Egyptian now becomes the most expensive African footballer of all time, shadowing Mane’s move to the same club last year.

Following the transfer, the 25-year-old expressed his delight with signing with Liverpool, saying he would like to win trophies.

“I’m very excited to be here. I’m very happy. I was in Egypt and I came two days ago. I was in Liverpool and I just signed one hour ago. Now I’m here and I’m very happy to be here. I would like to win something with the club. Everyone knows the club is very big. We have to do something for the fans and win something,” Liverpool’s official website cited Salah as saying.

The Egyptian will don jersey number 11.

When Salah makes his debut for Liverpool, he will become the first player from Egypt to represent the club.

Salah scored 15 goals and provided 11 assists in all competitions for Roma last season.

He will bolster Liverpools' attacking line-up, which is already boasting of Sadio Mane, Phillipe Countinho and Roberto Firmino.
