Pan Pan, the world's oldest male panda, died of cancer on Wednesday in southwest China’s Sichuan Province. The 31-year-old giant panda was equivalent to a 100-year-old human. The average age of captive male giant pandas is around 20 years old, and female pandas live longer. As the oldest ever recorded male giant panda, Pan Pan has over 130 descendants. The archive video shows the celebration of Pan Pan’s 30th birthday last year. RIP, Pan Pan! We miss you!
