And as for China's cold weather, the snow has stopped in most parts of the country, but the cold shows no sign of easing up.
China's Meteorological Center has issued a Yellow Alert for a cold wave, warning of a drop in temperature of 6 to 8 degrees Celsius, to a high of just over 10 degrees. Heavy snow that battered the eastern and central parts of China has gradually waned. With it, the impact on traffic is also fading away. In southern China, temperatures in Guangzhou, the capital of Guangdong province, plunged to 11 degrees Celsius on Monday from 26 degrees Celsius a few days before. Wind and rain forced part of the Beijing-Zhuhai expressway to close. While in the capital Beijing, there's been no precipitation in at least 77 days. The weather forecast shows the extreme weather will continue for the coming two weeks.
