Dumplings play a big part in Chinese people’s lives: They eat them on Chinese New Year’s Eve and for other major festivals, and also traditionally include them in the meal before seeing someone off.

Now a new dumpling-themed museum, the first of its kind on the planet, has opened in Dalian in northeast China’s Liaoning Province.
Visitors can admire dumplings of different varieties with different fillings, shapes and colors, steamed or fried.
