As to the DPRK's participation in the coming Winter Olympics, most South Koreans hold positive opinions, believing that sports events can help ease the tensions on the Korean Peninsula. While some others express their concerns on the issue.

SEOUL RESIDENT "The DPRK is being sanctioned on its nuclear programs. I am worried about what other countries will think if the DPRK joins the Winter Olympics. I don't want them to come."
