South Korean President Moon Jae-in made his maiden foreign visit to Washington on Thursday. Moon's visit comes as pressure mounts on his administration to find ways of managing the escalating tensions on the Korean Peninsula. Moon and US President Donald Trump held talks on the DPRK nuclear issue and the development of the South Korea-US alliance. They will have a full day of meetings Friday, culminating with a joint statement on Friday afternoon. CGTN’s Jessica Stone was present during their first day of meetings.
