Cristiano Ronaldo scored a hat-trick to lead Real Madrid to a 4-2 victory over Bayern Munich in the second leg of their quarter-final in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday.
The win at the Santiago Bernabeu puts Real Madrid into the semi-finals for a record seventh straight season and keeps them on course to become the first team to retain the Champions League trophy since the competition was rebranded.

As for Ronaldo, he is now the first player to rack up a century of goals in the Champions League with his hat-trick against Bayern.
Among his 100 goals in the top European club competition, 68 came off his right foot, leaving 15 for the left and 17 through headers. In the game last night, the star’s treble was a mix of all three.
Ronaldo set a number of other records last night as he tallied his 103rd goal in European club competitions. He has scored 213 at the Santiago Bernabeu, taking him past Real Madrid legend Alfredo Di Stefano as the top scorer at the stadium. The 32-year-old is also the first player in history to have scored 32 goals in the knockout stage of European competition.
