Sergio Garcia has returned to the golf course a month after he etched his name in the history books by claiming his first major championship. And “El Nino” has grabbed headlines again, this time at the Players Championship in Florida.

Garcia tamed the famed island green at TPC Sawgrass, managing just the eighth hole-in-one at the 17th hole in the history of this tournament.
The world number six knew it was a big moment, but was humble in describing his latest achievement. "I hit a good shot, but you know, it can go there and go three yards past. I don't know but it can do anything. It was nice to see it bounce and kind of spin back into the hole,” said Garcia.

Garcia was not the only one celebrating the shot, as the cheers from the gallery were so loud that Olympic gold medalist Justin Rose had to step away and wait for the excitement to die down, before taking his own tee shot at the next hole.
Unfortunately for the Spaniard, not everything went according to plan, as his one-over 73 score placed him six shots behind the leaders after the opening 18 holes.
