We make our way to the NBA where the New York Knicks would be hosting the Milwaukee Bucks. The game pitting two of the game's young guns, in Kristaps Porzingis and Giannis Antentokounmpo. Each being referred to as unicorns for their unique skill set. Unfortunately this match-up of big men would fail to materialize after the Knicks giant went down with a knee injury.
We pick things up in the second quarter, and Porzingis cuts into the lane and throws it down over the Greek Freak, only the Lativian gangbanger goes down hard, and clutches his knee.
His left leg seems to buckle, and he tumbles. He needs to be helped off, early reports claim he tore his ACL, most likely done for the year. That seems to sap the Knicks of any energy, as the Bucks start to take control, second half, and Khris Middleton gets the theft, and sets up Giannis for the impressive dunk. 23 for the All-star. 12-point game. And the Greek Freak shows off his range a little later, hitting the long ball. The lead is now 16, off to the fourth, and things get worse for the Knickerbockers, Tim Hardaway Jr, hurts his leg away from the play. He is inadvertantly kicked and hobbles off the court. The Knicks limp away with a loss, 103-89 to the Bucks.
In other games, Cleveland blow a 21-point lead in falling to Orlando. OKC snapped a four-game slide, by humbling Golden State. Paul George and Russell Westbrook combining for 72 points in the win. Houston won their fifth straight, beating Brooklyn. James Harden had 36 points in the victory, surpassing 15-thousand for his career. Toronto blows out Boston, trimming the Celtics lead for first in the East to just a single game. Philly snapped Washington's five game run. The Lakers top Phoenix.
