Syria Conflict: US official: More than 100 pro-government fighters killed in US-led coalition strikes

More than one hundred pro-government fighters have reportedly been killed in US-led coalition strikes in Deir al-Zour. The strikes came on Wednesday night and Thursday morning. They are said to have been intended to thwart an attack on US-backed opposition forces by pro-government fighters. Russian lawmakers called the US offensive an act of aggression.
