World's First Smart Bulk Carrier: China-designed 'Da Zhi' delivered in Shanghai

The world's first smart bulk carrier "Da Zhi" was delivered in Shanghai on Tuesday. The China-designed smart ship has a carrying load of thirty-eight-thousand-eight-hundred tons. It is equipped with up-to-date information technologies, including the world's first self-learning information platform, large-capacity calculations and a China-developed intelligent remote control system. The integration of these technologies is aimed to guarantee navigational safety and improve the operational efficiency of the ship. The smart vessel is the world's first to get recognition from both Lloyd's Register and the China Classification Society. Experts believe the launch of the smart ship signals China is taking a lead in technological development.
