Now for some basketball from the NBA with the Indiana Pacers at home to the Charlotte Hornets. It's been a tough stretch for the hosts as they were playing their fourth game in six nights, and the wear from their schedule would show in three sluggish quarters. But as the name suggests, the Pacers were able to pick up the pace in the fourth thanks in part to a burst of energy from the always game Lance Stephenson.
There's Indiana's top scorer Victor Oladipo before tip off.
And there's Oladipo driving in before passing out wide and the Pacers move it until Myles Turner connects on three of his 22 points this game.
Early in the second quarter, and Stephenson comes up with the loose ball. A little razzle dazzle leads to a great dish to TJ Leaf who ties it up at 30. Check out Stephenson's magic hands, whatever works.
It stays close, and Frank Kaminsky completes the overhead lob to Dwight Howard's tying it at 38. Howard scored 18 of his 22 points in the first half.
But Indiana pull away in the fourth quarter. Stephenson delivers a beautiful bounce pass to Thaddeus Young who gives the Pacers an eight point lead.
With just under three minutes on the clock, Young strips the ball and Stephenson races the other way where he is going to throw it down one-handed. Pacers go on to win 105-96.
In other games, Atlanta upset the Timberwolves, Tyreke Evans had 27 in Memphis' win, Milwaukee won for their fourth straight game since firing coach Jason Kidd as Giannis Antetokounmpo had 31 points and 18 rebounds, the Heat beat the Mavericks, and Kyrie Irving scored 27 points as Boston held on against Denver after almost blowing a 20 point lead.
