As you saw -- Canelo and triple G did the cliche staredown during their weigh-in. It is often nothing more than to look tough, and pretend like there is animosity, which helps promote the fight. Occasionally things do get out of hand, with punches being thrown -- and that was the case during the photo op between Billy Joe Saunders and Willie Monroe Jr., but it didn't come from the fighters.

 

So here are the pugilists doing their thing at Copper Box Arena in London, the champ Saunders on the left, Monroe on the right. The title holders son then wants to be part of the picture, and gets his hair tousled by the challenger, when the little brat tries a cheap shot and hits the challenger below the belt, and tries to kick him too, before he is pulled away. His dad does nothing! He better hope he hits harder than his kid, because those blows did not affect Monroe. The two face-off Saturday night -- with the champ putting his belt and undefeated record on the line.
