Turkey's Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu has arrived in Tehran for talks with Iranian counterpart Mohammad Javad Zarif on Wednesday.
Turkey said Cavusoglu will also meet Iran's president, Hassan Rouhani. Ankara's offensive against the Syrian Kurdish militia in the northern Afrin region will be on the agenda of these meetings. Iran urged Turkey to stop its military operation in Syria earlier this week, saying it breached Syrian sovereignty and would increase tension in the war-torn country.
