High-level officials from the DPRK and South Korea have held their first meeting at the border village of Panmunjom in more than two years.

The DPRK says it will send a delegation, including athletes, cheerleaders and journalists to the Winter Olympics in South Korea. Meanwhile, South Korea released a statement asking the DPRK to halt hostile acts that raise tension on the peninsula. The DPRK and South Korea have agreed to restore a military hotline, starting from 8 am local time on Wednesday and the two sides have agreed to hold military talks.
