President Xi Jinping leaves for Finland on state visit

Chinese President Xi Jinping on Tuesday left for Helsinki, the capital city of Finland, starting his state visit to this European Union member state from April 4 to 6.
Xi published an article on Monday titled, "Our Enduring Friendship" in the Helsinki Times ahead of his visit to Finland, noting that Finland was one of the first Western countries to establish diplomatic ties with China.
Xi is expected to meet President Sauli Niinisto and the Prime Minister of Finland Juha Sipilä. The two sides will exchange views on further strengthening political trust and cooperation in various areas to inject new vitality to China-Finland relations.‍
After the Finland state visit, Xi will go on to meet US President Donald Trump at Mar-a-Lago, Florida from April 6 to 7.
