Turning focus to the mobile phone market, as tech-giant Apple has announced that starting this January, 32-bit apps will no longer be accepted on its app store. This means that iPhone 5 models and older, will be phased out later this year, when Apple's new operating system is released. Here's what some consumers had to say.
"If you hang onto the old one, then you get nothing new. For me, technical upgrades and developments are a must, that's why I'm in favor of upgrades. Normally, I change my phone once every year or two, usually because the battery fails, but I still don't change the brand. I think a phone's functions and look matter most to me."
"I usually change my phone once every two or three years. I just changed my iPhone 6s plus for a new one. The old phone was too slow. Each time there is a new phone launched, I see how much I can get for the old one, and then decide whether to buy the new one or not."
"I change my phone every other generation. If a new phone has a new function I need, I'll buy it."
