A South Korean delegation has departed for a tour of the DPRK's sports venues, after the two sides agreed to hold joint training sessions between their non-Olympic skiers.
LEE JOO-TAE, DIRECTOR-GENERAL MINISTRY OF UNIFICATION "The South and North have agreed to hold a joint training session at the Masikryong Ski Resort so we will go check whether such training can be held properly. And then we will inspect the Kalma Airport to see if it is possible for flight transportation, including safety facilities."
The 12-member South Korean delegation departed ahead of a planned joint cultural event at the DPRK's scenic Kumkang Mountain. The delegation has crossed the military demarcation line through a border road reopened for delegation exchanges. Earlier a DPRK advance team wrapped up a visit to South Korea on Monday, with another group expected to visit the South to settle the North's participation at the Games.
