China will expedite legislation on a real estate tax, NPC spokeswoman Fu Ying told a press conference on Saturday ahead of the annual session of China’s top legislature. However, although the five-year legislation plan has sparked much discussion, there was no time to put a draft legislation to the Standing Committee of NPC this year, she said.
