Britain's biggest animal charity the RSPCA (Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) treated eight of its longest staying residents to a night in a top hotel - after they were dubbed the loneliest pooches in the pound. /CFP Photo

These poor dogs have been in RSPCA care for a combined time of more than four years, but enjoyed a break from kennel life with doggy afternoon tea, pampering and playtime in a 337 pounds (434 US dollars)-a-night luxury hotel. /CFP Photo

They were also treated to a photoshoot by top celebrity snapper Joseph Sinclair during their stay at the posh Egerton House Hotel in Knightsbridge, west London, in a bid to find them loving homes. /CFP Photo
