German Chancellor Angela Merkel is considering joining French President Emmanuel Macron at the World Economic Forum in Davos next week. Merkel has been struggling to form a government since elections in September. She had been expected to skip the gathering for a third straight year. Her attendance will allow her and Macron to defend liberal democratic values in the face of President Trump's "America First" policies. Macron is scheduled to speak at the forum on January 24th, two days before Trump.
