A court in Gaza sentenced three Palestinians to death on Sunday over the assassination of Hamas militant Mazen Fuqaha in March.

After a four-day trial, the military court announced that two defendants, Ashraf Abu Leila and Hisham Aloul, were sentenced to be hanged, and the other defendant, Abdullah Nashar, to be shot, Xinhua news agency reported.

The three were convicted of collaborating with Israel. Abu Leila said that Israeli security intelligence asked him to kill Fuqaha in a confession.

No execution date was given at this point.
